There's a meaningful difference between a "digital marketing agency" and a "performance marketing agency." The first runs SEO, content, social media, and ad campaigns as a generalist mix. The second is laser-focused on paid acquisition with measured ROAS as the only KPI that matters.
If you're a Jaipur business spending more than ₹1L/month on ads — or planning to soon — you need the second kind. Here are the 5 we'd talk to in 2026.
Note on placeholders: Slots #2–#5 contain bracketed placeholders that the publisher should replace with real Jaipur agency names and details before going live.
What "performance marketing agency" actually means
A real performance marketing agency:
- Treats every rupee as accountable — not in a "we'll send you reports" way, but in a "every campaign rolls up to a measurable cost-per-action" way.
- Optimizes for the bottom of the funnel — they care about cost per signed customer, not cost per click.
- Can read attribution despite iOS 17 / cookie deprecation — server-side tracking, conversions API, post-purchase attribution surveys, modeled conversions.
- Will say no to bad campaigns — they don't run brand-awareness videos for an SMB unless that's the right move; they push back when they see budget being burned.
If an agency uses the words "performance marketing" but doesn't do the four things above, they're a digital agency wearing a different hat. The five below actually do.
1. Growth Escalators
Best for: AI-first performance marketing, cross-vertical (healthcare, real estate, roofing US, DTC).
Founded: 2019 · Team size: 25+ · Sector 26, Sanganer
Why we lead this list: Performance marketing in 2026 isn't about who runs better Meta campaigns — every credible agency runs Meta. It's about whose AI infrastructure separates real buyers from clicks. Our pod runs every campaign on:
- AI lead-quality scoring — every form submission and ad-click conversion is scored 0–100 before reaching the sales team. Reps work the top 30% of leads. Useless leads are silently filtered.
- Smart-bid creative testing — we run 30+ ad variants in parallel and concentrate spend on the winners within hours, not weeks.
- Server-side attribution + Conversions API — we don't lose half our optimization data the way pixel-only agencies do post iOS 17.
- Post-purchase attribution loops — for clients with longer cycles (real estate, B2B, healthcare), we close the loop on signed deals so future budget allocates against actual revenue.
Track record at scale:
- ₹500Cr+ real estate inventory marketed
- ₹10Cr+ ad spend managed across portfolio
- 6.4× average ROAS across performance contracts (last 12 months)
Pricing range: ₹80k–₹3L+/month services + ad spend (mid-market businesses); larger budgets quoted bespoke.
Performance contracts available: Yes — for qualified clients at ₹1L+/month, we can structure deals around CPL or CPA targets.
Where we're not the right fit: If you're spending under ₹40k/month all-in or you specifically want a brand-awareness-first agency. Performance marketing is a wrong tool for those goals.
2. [Agency Name — Replace]
Best for: [e.g. e-commerce DTC brands, Shopify-heavy stack, Indian DTC]
Founded: [year] · Team size: [size]
What they do well: [Specific strength — be honest. e.g. "Deep Shopify expertise, strong creative production for fashion/beauty"]
Watch-outs: [Honest limitation — e.g. "Limited B2B / lead-gen experience"]
Track record at scale: [What's the biggest spend they've managed credibly?]
Pricing range: [₹X–₹Y/month]

What to ask in your first call with any of them
The interview process for hiring a performance marketing agency should be more rigorous than the one you'd run for a senior hire. You're handing them six- or seven-figure annual budgets. Five questions that cut through agency pitch theater:
1. "Walk me through how you'd attribute a sale that came from a Meta ad click 14 days ago." Good agencies talk through Conversions API, server-side events, deduplication logic, and modeled conversions. Bad agencies talk about pixel events.
2. "What's the biggest campaign you've personally optimized in the last 90 days, and what did it teach you?" You want concrete operational stories. Not "we got 5x ROAS for a client."
3. "How does AI show up in your workflow today, specifically?" "We use ChatGPT for captions" is a fail. "We have an AI lead-scoring layer that filters leads pre-qualified before reaching sales" is a pass.
4. "What's your weekly reporting cadence and what's actually in it?" Live dashboard + weekly Loom = good. 30-page PDF every Friday = a tell that they don't have real-time tooling.
5. "If we hire you and three months later we want to leave, what do we walk away with?" Everything (ad accounts, landing pages, pixels, content library, audience seeds) = good. "We'll transition you" with no specifics = exit-cost trap.
Performance vs. brand: it's not always either-or
One nuance worth noting. The five agencies above are performance-first. That's right for ~80% of growing businesses. But businesses that have hit a ceiling with pure-performance — usually around the ₹5L/month spend mark, depending on category — often need to layer brand marketing on top to keep growing efficiently.
When you're evaluating performance agencies, ask whether they can also handle the brand layer when you need it (in-house creative team, video production, PR partnerships) or whether you'll need a second agency for that. Most can't handle both well; agencies that claim to are usually mediocre at both.
